    Computer won't shutdown or sleep.


    I have installed W10 twice using the update feature. Everything work fine except when I want to shutdown or put the machine to sleep by clicking on those options, the machine makes noise like the HD is working. It then just shuts down and reboots again. The only way I can shut it off is by using the button on the computer.

    i look forward to trying this.

    sadly, 1709 broke shutdown and sleep on my computer. i can work around the shutdown by using a hard coded command but haven't been able to work around the sleep issue. (won't sleep no way no how). so, i've reverted to 1703 until the next big update.
    I look forward to seeing this old (ancient, decrepit) issue resolved when I do update!

    Computer goes to sleep after 1 minute or so of inactivity after youtube video has ended or paused

    Will try that, thanks. Also I've noticed that if I shutdown the computer, next time I turn it on and play youtube videos it WON'T go to sleep randomly, apparently this only happens when I turn on the computer after sleeping. Not sure if I made myself clear,
    in other words if I set manually my computer to sleep next time I turn it on and play youtube it will go to sleep randomly. Hope that makes sense.
