Configuring SmartScreen - How to check which users have it disabled?

We are in the process of enabling SmartScreen across our environment, but we would like to evaluate which devices currently have SmartScreen disabled. I assume this can be done using a PowerShell script, but so far, my tests have not been successful.I’m wondering if there’s an easy way to check this across all devices within my tenant, or if anyone has faced a similar challenge and found a solution? Thanks in advance for any assistance, and I’m happy to provide any additional information if needed.

    :)

  2. I cannot disable Windows SmartScreen

    Hi,

Disabling Windows SmartScreen in updated Windows versions was already moved to Windows Defender Security Center. It's a new feature in Windows 10 Creators Update. That might be the reason why it is not showing in the Control Panel. For us to disable the
Windows SmartScreen, please follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Type Windows Defender Security Center.
    • Press Enter.
    • Click on App & browser control.
    • You have 3 options:
    • If you will disable it, it will show you a warning message.

Let us know if you have other concerns.

  3. I cannot disable Windows SmartScreen

When I download a new program (not always, but quite often) a Windows SmartScreen message pops up and tells me SmartScreen can't be reached and asking me if I want to run the program. I choose the option for "run anyway", but I would rather not have it
appear at all. I've searched the internet for ways to disable it, but when I try the most common way suggested (through Control Panel) I can't find the option to disable it on the list - but it appears when I type it into the search box. Unfortunately, when
I click on that result it disappears and I'm back to where I was before. How do I disable Windows SmartScreen? My browsers are Google Chrome and FireFox.

    SmartScreen not so smart.

    Hi,

I would like to inform that Windows SmartScreen helps keep your PC safe by checking downloaded files and web content within apps to help protect you from malicious software and potentially unsafe web content. Before an unknown or potentially
unsafe downloaded file is opened, Windows will display a warning. If SmartScreen detects potentially unsafe web content in an app, Windows will display a warning in place of the content. To disable SmartScreen, follow the steps below:

    • Type SmartScreen settings in the Search box and press Enter.
    • Click on Change Windows SmartScreen Settings in the left navigation pane.
    • Select the option, Don't do anything (turn off Windows SmartScreen) and click on OK.

If you would like to develop a program, then suggest you to post your query in MSDN forums in the link provided below:

Hope the information provided is helpful. Feel free to write to us for any other assistance with Windows, we'll be glad to assist you.
