Windows 10: "Confirm Save As" prompt sound not working

When I'm saving over an existing file and get the "Confirm save as" prompt to let me know that I'm about to overwrite said file, I'm no longer getting the sound to alert me to it. My sound is turned all the way up. Going into my "Sounds" settings, I'm wondering if perhaps I don't have it turned out? But, I'm not sure which "Program Event" it would be, or exactly why it was switched off when it had been working? I assumed the Program Event was "Question", but that hasn't changed anything. Maybe I need to restart my computer for it to work?

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Windows 10 - "Sound Dim" not working?

I suggest you to run the sound troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “troubleshooting” in search box and type Enter.
• Click on View All on top left corner.
• Click on Playing sound from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Downloaded windows 10 and no sound or sounddriver.

I would suggest you to update the Sound drivers as the initial troubleshooting steps and check. Here is the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X key on your desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate Sound drivers, expand, right click and click
  on Update.
  
  If it doesn’t help, then I would suggest you to
  uninstall and re-install the Sound drivers in compatibility mode. Here is the steps:
  

• Go to your manufacturer’s website and download the
  Driver’s setup file for your computer.
• Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run box.
• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Under Driver, expand, then right click and select
  Uninstall.
• If you are prompted to Confirm then Confirm.
• Go to the location where you had saved your downloaded setup files of the drivers and
  right click, then select Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
• Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.
