Confused about my directX version, anyone available to clarify?

Hello, I have a corei3 3.10Ghz second generation processor which comes with an intel HD2000 (sandy bridge) internal graphics memory.
When I was used to use windows7, I installed Directx 11 but it always showed 10.1
I searched online and people said HD2000 wont support DirectX11.

Few months ago when windows 10 came online, I upgraded my OS. and Suddenly my directX version is 11.1.
I tried running "dxdiag" quite a few times and it was 11.1 without any doubt.
Infact it seems like few games that didnt run on my pc before, are running fine now.

What happened? Is it really directX 11? or its just showing that?

    :)

DirectX Downgrade From 11 to 10 After Upgrade to Windows 10

My Clean Install of Windows 10 says I have DirectX Version: 11.1, My Free Upgrade on another, now, Windows 10 Machine says DirectX Version: 11.2.

If you are an "Early Adapter", whatever that is, and via an Early Access Program, then you might be able to get DirectX Version: 12.

    This is from Microsoft -

In previous OS's the dxdiag tool reported the DirectX level as the highest level that the OS supported. In Windows 10 that was changed to show the highest Direct X level that the video card driver installed supports. There has been some confusion in the
forums with customers thinking that Windows 10 does not have DirectX 12.

Your best bet is to refer to (NVidia\AMD\Intel) sites to see what Video Cards\drivers support full DX12. Check what DirectX your current Video Cards supports.

As for you Bios reporting, I can't help you there. Perhaps you could try "Best of 3? (Lol)

Is there any Bios update available from your OEM, or Motherboards manufacturer?

I wonder whether it has something to do with the emulation features that I've read are included in DX12.

Well im not that familiar with technicality, but when I was using windows 7 directx 10.1, I couldnt play Call of duty Black Ops 2, it used to run and then crush.

I can play just fine now. Infact I completed the whole game.

how do I know which games are native with directx 11?

I guess technical details might be inside their manuals, or maybe in the maker webpage.
