Windows 10: Confused by update notifications etc

I picked up from somewhere that M/S have issued an update to remove recent dubious updates, relating to intel processors.

As I understand this, the required patch is KB4078130. This can be found on the update catalogue - its shown as a legitimate update,but, my PC refuses to download this.
Does this further mean that additional problems are at the door OR is it a case that my PC does not require this patch.

I get a window that states "The website has encountered a problem"
Have tried this on two windows 10 (intel) PC's so far.

HTC HD7 NoDo

Hello !

I got the notification on my HTC HD7 that an update is available. As soon as i connected my phone to the zune software the notification went away and my phone didn't update ? I am confused, almost everybody has got the NoDo update. Mine is a Open market
Phone in India. No update for me yet.Why did the notification vanished and my phone didn't got the update.

Why do notification settings go away when Outlook Mail and Calendar updates?

I have a Lumia 650. I am no stranger to the settings needed to personalize notifications for email, messaging, etc. and yesterday my phone worked great. My Outlook Mail and Calendar evidently updated today and with the update my notification sound settings
no longer work. I get a visual notification in the live tile, but no sound. This is a very frustrating and tiring part of the Windows 10 Mobile updating process. I am currently changing/trying every combination of settings possible and still no use. I am wondering
if anyone else shares this problem. Thanks!

UPDATE: Ok, I seem to have stumbled on the right combination of settings between the 'notifications' under 'system>settings' and the notification settings in the Outlook app.

The settings in the Outlook app is set to show sound and banners. The notification settings under 'system>settings' is set for sounds only, no banners. It's weird, but it works. I kind of wish Outlook didn't have settings in the app itself but rather allow
one to make all settings under 'system>settings.' Two places to make settings seem to confuse things and maybe not work so well together. Thanks.

partial success only I'm afraid. The link put the update into my download file, however clicking on that exe file did not start any activity.

 

I had the same thing happen to me, but I thought it was just because I'm using an Insider build 17083.

 

Same happened to me too, clicking on the .exe appeared to do nothing but checking the registry it looks as though all it really does is change a dword to turn a setting off.
