  1. Connect App says my device doesn't support Miracast but it should

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to connect another device to my PC using Miracast. The Connect App says that my PC does not support Miracast, so I cannot project to it wirelessly, however I have checked my specs and Miracast should be compatible. I have additionally checked my drivers to see if any require updates, and they do not. I am using Windows 10. Are there any other fixes I could try to get this to work?

    :)

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC
      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    Regards.

  3. How do I enable DHCP (Miracast) on my Windows 10 PC with LAN?

Thanks, although the steps talk about including wireless, that was my original question - isn't it possible to use Miracast on LAN?? I don't want to use Bluetooth or WiFi

Check Miracast Support on Windows 10 PC

Hello spapakons, Connect App says my device doesn't support Miracast but it should :)

I'm afraid that the hardware will need to support Miracast.

Yeah, if the wireless card/USB supports Miracast, it can be used on a desktop as well.

If the device you're projecting to doesn’t support Miracast, then you’ll need a Miracast adapter (sometimes also called a dongle) that plugs into an HDMI port on your display device. The adapter lets your PC communicate wirelessly with the display device.

Check below for all Miracast requirements though.
