Windows 10: Connect / Disconnect sound every few minutes. Like your Plugging in / or unplugging a USB...

My PC keeps trying to connect something and I get the connect /Disconnect beep notification. I think its a wireless adaptor because it keeps popping up and going off and I dont have a wireless adaptor as I am using ethernet cable. In my event viewer I keep getting warning "DistrubitedCom". If I go to Device Manager everything on the device manager screen goes blank and then pops back up about every second or 2. It wont stay still long enough for me to see what's connecting or disconnecting. I've unplugged my PC from my ASUS Wireless Router and also unplugged the incoming ethernet cable to my router and unplugged everything from all USB ports but it still does it. Please help me make it stop.

Windows 10 USB Connect/Disconnect Sound No Longer Functions

It's been like this for a while but on my desktop computer, Windows no longer plays the sound when connecting or disconnecting a USB/external device. I have checked and there is a sound listed in Control Panel/sounds for it. Not sure what to try next to restore this function. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Method 1: I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

• The USB connection may be loose. Try unplugging the keyboard, and then plugging it back in.
• Plug the keyboard into a different USB port.
• If your keyboard is plugged into a USB hub or USB switch box, try removing it and plugging the keyboard into the computer.
• Unplug other USB devices that are not in use.
• Try the keyboard on another computer to verify it is working correctly

Method 2: Also I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the usb keyboard drivers as below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows+X and go to device manager.
• Then expand keyboards and right click on the driver.
• Then click on uninstall and restart the computer.
• It will be reinstalled automatically and check if it helps.
