Windows 10: Connect external blu ray disc player, nothing happens

Hi! I'm trying to connect my blu ray external disc player to my laptop, nothing happens when I plug it in. I have used HDMI, usb and usb to usb c. The disc player works perfectly when hooked up to a tv and even a stand alone monitor, but when i plug it into my laptop, nothing happens. It is NOT in my files, it does NOT give an error, it does NOT have a driver or recognition error in terms of exclamation points in the device manager or stuff along those lines, it simply does nothing when I plug it into my laptop. It is the type of disc player that you normally think of for connecting to TVs. I

I have tried using media players but I cant even find the player, disc, or any files to use through them so that isn't the problem, it just simply does nothing with the player not showing up in any way or capacity anywhere. Like how often something will pop up and ask what you want to do with it? yeah, that doesn't even happen, no noise is made either. Please give me a real answer not just something about updating drivers or something. This is for windows 11.

 

External Samsung Blu Ray Disc Player to computer Windoes 10

New Samsung Blu-Ray Disc player, external model BD-JM57 , trying to play a disc with Dell Inspiron Computer with Windows 10.

Nothing happens on computer.. Using HDMI cable .

DVD player on and working, I can hear the disc moving inside .

Will also ask Samsung.
