    Connecting Wireless Display

I connected a wireless display today, which works very well. This is a smart tv with wireless and a pc that has a modern wifi card. But ( there is always a "but"!) there is no sound. The device I have connected to does NOT appear on the list of devices in sound playback. I "think" when I first connected there was sound, but somehow I seem to have broken it. Does anyone know whether a remote display should have sound and how I can get it back?

  3. What happened to connect to a wireless display in display settings

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Windows 11 has made some changes to the way you connect to wireless displays compared to Windows 10. The "Connect to a wireless display" feature is now integrated into the new Quick Settings menu, which is accessed from the taskbar. Here's how to use it:

    1. Open Quick Settings:
      • Click on the network icon in the taskbar (usually looks like a Wi-Fi symbol) or press Win + K on your keyboard. This will open the Quick Settings menu.
    2. Click on "Connect to a wireless display."
      • In the Quick Settings menu, you should see an option labeled "Connect to a wireless display." Click on it.
    3. Select a Wireless Display:
      • Windows will start scanning for available wireless displays. When it finds one, click on the name of the display you want to connect to.
    4. Follow On-Screen Instructions:
      • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. You may need to confirm the connection on both your computer and the wireless display.
This streamlined approach simplifies the process of connecting to wireless displays in Windows 11. The traditional method of going to Display Settings in Windows 10 is no longer used for this purpose in Windows 11.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

    Best regards

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

    Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
    Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

    1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
    2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
      Action Center.
    3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
      Microsoft
      Wireless Display Adapter.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
