  1. Connect to another local PC on my network and transfer files?

I created/added a PC to my local network on Windows 11 in network and sharing center. It has no password required for logging in when I access that device... But when I access it from another pc in my local wifi network, it asks me for the username and password. There is no username and password though. It's a local account sign in with no password at all. How do I connect these 2 pc's to transfer files?

    :)

  2. Sync folder between Air and PC locally

I'm looking for a software which will keep folders on my Mac Air and PC synced via the local wireless network.

I usually take my Mac with me everywhere and as such have tons of large downloaded files that I have to manually copy over to the PC. I'm looking for something that'll transfer the files over the local wireless network in my home.

    Any suggestions?

transfer files between computers on a home network

I don't know why this is so hard to do but I would like to transfer files between a desktop PC running windows 10 pro and a laptop running windows 10 home. I would like to transfer files in both directions. Both computers are on the same home network and are connected wirelessly.

Could some one provide either specific step by step instructions on how to do this (I googled and found a countless list of instructions that don't work)

or a link to a reference.

    Thanks,

I don't know if this is possible but it would be nice to see the computer sending the desired file in the explorer file manager of the computer receiving the desired file and then under the computer see a list
    of shared files and folders.

Again, this seems like such a reasonable way of sharing files and folders. Shouldn't there be a simple way to do this?

  4. Connect to another local PC on my network and transfer files?

Transferring files locally gives only 2 mb/s max - why?

i am trying to transfer files from my pc to another pc through ftp, but the speed is limited to only 2 mb/s... isn't that a bit slow..? my actual internet connection is 20mpbs, so shouldn't my LAN-speed be way more, huh? how do i get the speed higher on local transfers..? are there some settings on the router i should do, or? i've got a speedtouch 546i router and a 100mbps-supported network card on my pc.

    thanks in advance!
