Windows 10: Connect to USB on another PC

I have a secondary printer connected to a PC via USB and I would like to use it from another computer across the network for printing envelopes without using remote desktop, is it possible?

Does the phone work OK when it's not connected to USB?

If so, it could be either a problem with the Phone's USB port, the cable, or the PC's USB port.

Let's test it out:

a) try connecting to another USB port on the PC or to another PC. Does it work OK now? then it's probably the PC's USB port.

b) try another cable

c) if another USB port and another cable don't fix the problem, then it's likely something wrong with the phone's USB port. That would mean a call/trip to the manufacturer or your cellular provider for repair or replacement.

 

Vista doesn't recognise my pocket pc

Have you tried another USB cable or connecting to another PC? I assume "Allow USB connections" is selected in WMDC Connections Settings.

Just share the printer right click on the printer properties and share

 

Got it shared and it shows in \\computer\printer but when I try to add a network location it comes back as an invalid folder. I did change the ownership and security to Everyone and checked all the boxes. Otherwise the printer does not show in Explorer.

Does not show in/under network. After changing ownership to Everyone, it went to System and now I can't change it.

 

Thanks Samuria, finally got it. I was looking for it to show on the network like the other printer, but I had to open the computer that the printer is connected to and there it was *Banghead

 

On your networked computer, press the Win key+R. In the Run box type the computer name \\computername. Here you should see your shared printer. Right click this shared printer and choose Connect to put a shortcut to the printer on this computer.
