Windows 10: Connected to wifi, but cannot access internet

Hi, I am troubleshooting my Windows 10 PC. I have an issue where my wifi says "Connected" but I can't access any websites. My wifi adapter is enabled, I have tried rebooting the PC and router, I have tried doing Reset Network settings. But I still cannot access the internet. I don't have any antivirus installed besides the Windows one. I was messing with the control panel IP/DNS settings for my ethernet connection, but I don't think I did anything to the wifi. But it seemed to all of a sudden not work even after I thought I reverted all settings and then I also did the network reset. So I'm no

W10 can connect to wider internet but cannot access web pages

I have an odd issue with my W10 laptop linked to Sky broadband in the UK via wifi using a Sky router. The effect is that while I can actually access the internet (I can send and receive emails using Outlook and can connect to other machines using TeamViewer) I cannot access any web site (Google, BBC etc). There is no specific error message, merely that the access request timed out and a suggestion that it may be to do with proxy. I have tried the following:

1. Other systems (W10 and ios) can access web sites using the same Sky router (therefore probably not a router problem)
2. I have sent and received emails using Outlook, so the broadband connection is working (probably not a Sky problem)
3. I have tried two different browsers (Firefox and Edge), no connection (not a browser problem)
4. I am using Windows Defender and have:
   1. Made sure that Firefox is in the list of allowed systems in its Firewall, no connection after a reboot
   2. Turned off the Firewall and tried again - no connection

My next step will be to re-install Windows, but has anyone got any other suggestions? Could it be some sort of virus (I have carried out a complete virus check using Defender) So - any suggestions?

You can try these troubleshooting steps:





1. Move closer to a WLAN access point to get better WLAN signal.

2. Check that you do not have MAC (Media Access Control) address
filtering on in the access point settings. If your WLAN network uses MAC address filtering for security. You will need to know the MAC address for your phone, and then add it to the access list for the network before you can connect. To find
the MAC address for your phone, do the following:

• • Press Start, then swipe left to the App list.
    
  • Select Settings > About > More info.
  • If there are many WLAN access points nearby, try to use a different wireless
    channel in your WLAN access point.
    

3. If you are using a public WLAN access point, it is possible that all
IP addresses are in use. Try to create a connection again later.

4. On your Lumia phone, delete non functioning WLAN access point (internet connection) and connect it again:

Hi,
Nokia lumia 520 able to search and connect to wifi network but unable to access internet on my phone while all the other devices connected with wifi have access to internet.
sometime i get access to the internet when restarting my phone but most of the time no.
Please help.
