Windows 10: Connecting Android S24 Ultra to Phone Link Without Using Bluetooth

Hi there, i've been a daily user of Phone Link since i got my s24 ultra back in october of 2024. I've just been wondering, is it at all possible to configure the app to connect to my s24 ultra through a cable instead of bluetooth? i have a data transfer cable that is specifically used to connect my phone to my PC for obvious reasons. Because of its specific data transfer speed, i can't help but wonder if phone link could work better/faster if it was connected to my phone directly using a very high rate of data transfer cable instead of just bluetooth.

Phone Link not working properly on S24 Ultra ?

Every time I open an app via phone link, the phone pops up with "start recording or casting....... '[Cancel] [start now]'" .. this never happened with my Note 10+ (it only asked once after a restart or similar), but does all the time with my new S24 Ultra.. I have delinked, reset and relinked but nothing helps.. any ideas please ?

 

My Samsung S24 Ultra has not connected to the Phone Link App

Since Mar 31, maybe never because that around when I got this (new) phone I cannot see any messages later than that date. Phone and computer Bluetooth and WiFi both seem to indicate connection is there, but the Phone Link App indicates that the S24 is not detected. It raises the QR code, but after scanning, I get no response from the computer. The phone flashed a quick warning, but too fast for me to see what it's about. Resetting phone and rebooting computer make no difference.
