Audio issue with Bluetooth music from record player via laptop

I've just tried connecting a record player that supports USB output to a PC in order to listen to music over bluetooth headphones, and have run into a strange problem that I can't isolate to either the record player-laptop interface or my headphones-laptop bluetooth connection.

I'm able to listen to the record over my laptop built-in speakers, which took some configuring in the Sound Control Panel (settings listed below). I didn't need to download a driver; the Audio Technica website said none was needed and since I can listen over the laptop speakers this seems correct.

However, when I connect my headphones to my laptop over bluetooth, I can't hear any music. I can however hear the usual Windows sound effects of clicking on volume sliders, so I know the bluetooth connection is fine. And I can play back sound files on my laptop and listen on my headphones fine.

So I'm not sure how to troubleshoot or isolate the issue, since the record -> laptop and laptop -> headphones interfaces seem to be individually OK. But for some reason I can't hear the record over the headphones.

    Sound Control Panel Settings:
    Playback: Headphones as only default
Recording: USB audio CODEC as default
USB audio CODEC -> Properties -> Listen: Checked the 'Listen to this Device' box

Some of my other details are below:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home ver 1909
    Record Player: Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB
    Headphones: Beats Studio 3

  3. Issues with Audio and Video Playback when Connecting to Bluetooth

I have issues with video playback when I connect my computer to a bluetooth audio output device. This happens in all browsers and across all applications. The following happens when:

    1. Audio or video playback is currently ongoing, but no bluetooth device is connected
    2. With audio or video playback continuing, I attempt to connect a bluetooth device (usually headphones) to my laptop
    3. After bluetooth is connected, video and audio playback completely fail across all applications. I usually have to restart my computer in order to get video and audio playback working again.
This USUALLY only happens when audio playback is currently ongoing. If I pause all music and videos, connect my headphones, and then restart playback after bluetooth is connected, sometimes but not always audio and video will continue to play as usual with my headphones as the output. However, this is not always the case, as sometimes when I pause all of my playback sources and connect to bluetooth, I will still have the playback issues described above. This has been an issue with my laptop since I bought it in 2020, but the extent of my issues have varied over time.

  4. Connecting Electronic Drum Kit to Laptop Via Bluetooth for Playback and Recording

Frequent switching of playback and recording devices

Windows 10 user for a bit and have been seeing this as an 'issue' for quite a few versions of Windows.

I have x3 recording and x2-3 playback devices installed.

    Recording

    • Logitech Webcam (USB)
    • Plantronics Headset (USB)
    • Blue Yeti Pro (USB)
    Playback

    • Bose Speakers (Speaker port on Dell touchscreen)
    • Plantronics Headset (USB)
    • Earbuds (headphones port - not always plugged in)
Most are hardwired and one has a Bluetooth connection capability (Plantronics). I find myself often switching from one device to another, depending on the situation - recording, listening to music, taking a phone call, etc.

The current switching process is a bit cumbersome - right click the speaker in the taskbar, select playback or recording device and then picking whichever device. I find myself going thru this process x2-5 a day given whatever I am doing

It would seem to me that an app or icon / button selector would be ideal. Anyone aware of an app or device that might accommodate my need?
