Windows 10: Connecting Galaxy S4 to Laptop

I should like to be able to connect my Galaxy S4 to my laptop to backup my contacts, pictures, music tracks, etc. I have been recommended Mobilego by a friend but in passing he mentioned the word "sync". I don't think there is another word in the English dictionary that I hate and fear more than "sync".

So my question is: Can I use Mobilego to just transfer info from my phone to my laptop and vice-versa without any syncing to ANYTHING; no Google Account, no email account, no One Drive, no secondary laptop, no nothing (forgive the deliberate grammatical error). Just to pass info back and forth between phone and laptop using a usb cable. Is this possible? If not, is there some other software that would allow it?

Windows 10 won't recognize my Samsung Galaxy S4

Have the same problem. Tried all steps mentioned and even used factory cable of my Samsung Galaxy S4, but still unable to connect.

I really appreciate if someone can provide another work-around/solution. Thanks!

As you owned galaxy S4 which is an Samsung android phone.

So you have to contact Samsung forum, google forum or android devices forum.

When I plug my s4 Galaxy in to this device (asus notebook thingy) I can only see the DCIM photos and none of the film clips (mp4)

why are they not visible.I am so frustrated with this . am I missing something
