Windows 10: Connecting phone with PC as MTP-Receiving error 28The drivers for this device are not...

Hello,I have a lenovo G570, 64 bit, 6gb ram. Win 7. I am using this Laptop for the last 10 years and it has been a good experience. Recently I tried to connect my phone with pc through usb for the first time and got this error.The drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28. A service installation section in this INF is invalid. I have a Swipe Konnect Plus phone, android 5.1 which is 4 years old. But the manufacturer is not available any more. Swipe has shut down. So there is no way to download any usb drivers from manufacturer.I have tried to download drivers from device manage

"MTP device driver" failed

when i plug in my nokia 5800 via usb cable, it's showing "mtp device driver" failed and in device manager, yellow marked.

and i'm unable to connect to internet using my nokia 5800 usb cable to laptop but when i connect it using bluetooth with my laptop, i have no such error and i can connect to internet withhut problems.

tohugh both via usb and bluetooth, i can connect to pc suite, but via usb, unable to connect to internet and that mtp device error.

any solution?

 

USB (MTP) not working, driver not installing

I've been trying to connect my Lenovo K3 Note (Android 5.0.2) via USB (MTP). The drivers fail to install with windows update. The error shows as "Microsoft - Other hardware - MTP Device - Error 0x800f0217."

Things I've done to try and fix the issue (not in order):

• Installed Windows Media Feature Pack (KB3010081) and (KB3099229). As suggested on this Superuser.com thread.
• Updated USB drivers
• Enabled USB debugging mode on the device
• Used the troubleshooter. Returned "Unknown device doesn't have a driver"
• Reset the PC
• Plugged into different USB ports

I've hit a brick wall. My phone has worked fine over USB before. Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

MTP driver error

Hi, My LGV20 is working perfectly and is recognized by other computers.

I go to Microsoft Page and download the MTP driver.
I go to LG Page and install the universal USB LG mobile phone driver, and it says that I don't have the MTP driver installed.

I have spoken to MSFT support. LG support. Reinstalled all drivers. I have no idea what to do.


The phone charges (original LG cable) when plugged in. In device manager, under "other devices" it has an error (code 28) for "LGE Android Phone". When I attempt to update the driver (manually), it says "the install class is not present or is invalid."
