Windows 10: Connecting Two PCs to Clone a M.2 where both PCs only have One M.2 Slot, each.

This is my Scenario - I have Two Machines - Office PC has PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB, with WIN 10 Pro 64 bit, Programs & Data Only One M.2 Slot to be Cloned to the Second PC, which has a New Empty PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB, also has only one M.2 Slot GA-Z97X - UD5H MB. HOW would you Connect the Two Machines, to perform a Clone - First PC to Second PC. Your Advice & Information would be most appreciated, on this lovely Xmas day. Cheers, Owen Carlton

1-Is there any m.2 sata or nvme slot available in HP Pavilion AU620tx laptop?

2-Is the DVD slot is slower than the HDD slot ? I want to add an HDD there so I don't know

about is there any speed difference between HDD slot and DVD slot.

 

cloning sata ssd to m.2 nvme

Hi so i'm planning on building a new pc and my main storage drive on it will be an m.2 nvme and i want to clone my current pc's main sata ssd with my windows install on it to the new pc, I already know how to clone sata ssd to m.2 nvme and keep all my old files and keep windows but i'm wondering if there will be any hardware problems since my new pc will have a completely different motherboard, cpu and gpu, if there is any hardware problems is there anyway to get around it? or would i just have to install windows by itself on the new m.2 nvme and then afterward copy all the files except windows from the old ssd

 

Upgrade m.2 NVMe 256GB SSD to a larger m.2 NVMe SSD

First before doing anything, make sure you backup your data.

Now, if the PC has two slots as you indicate, put the other one in and clone the present drive to it. If you've already got both slots filled, remove the none OS drive one and replace it with the drive to be cloned.

Once you clone the drive, place it in the slot of the drive that was cloned. Then put the other data drive back that was removed. That's it.
