Windows 10: Connection failiure Sony XM5 Windows 11

Guys i really need your help on this one.So i bought my Sony Wh-1000 XM5s about one and a half years ago. They were working great and i loved them. I used the option to connect to devices simultaneously to work or game on my PC, and keep track of my phone at the same time almost every day.However, about half a year ago, it just stopped working one random day...Trust me i tried everything in my power to fix it but i´ve reached an dead end.I discoverd that the XM5s worked perfectly fine, with every device Ipad/Iphone,even a smartwatch, also simultaneously, BUT:- as soon as i connect the headph

Cannot Find my Sony XM5 Headphones on my Bluetooth

I recently got a new pair of Sony XM5 Bluetooth headphones, and tried to pair them to my windows 10 pc, and they wouldn't show up under any category. My PC doesn't come automatically with Bluetooth, so I'm using a Bluetooth adapter, but that shouldn't make a difference. Every other pair of Bluetooth headphones have paired easily, but the XM5 wont show up at all. I've troubleshooted and got no where. I made sure that both devices were discoverable. What else could I do to see if they'll show up?

I have used these sony XM5 earphones before both as a headphone and as headset when taking in calls and making calls on my laptop.

When I tried again today, the microphone or the headset version is not detected anymore under recording devices.

both the headphones and headset version of the XM5 is listed under the playback devices.

I tried connecting the headphones on another laptop using Windows 10 and it detects the microphone.

 

AG Audio/Bluetooth not working on windows 10 (Sony XM5s & Lenovo Thinkpad)

Hello,

From the start it was complicated getting these to go, I had to disable 'WH-1000XM5 Stereo' and 'Realtek Speakers' and leave 'WH-1000XM5 AG Audio' enabled for input and output, this worked for several months taking calls for work via Amazon web services in a browser and Teams (App). I've been experiencing an issue with my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop not playing audio (Not even the test sounds) when using AG Audio, I've done a large range of Troubleshooting and cannot get AG audio to work as an output like it has for the past several months. The Input still works but ALL sound mutes as soon as I switch to AG. WH-1000XM5 Stereo still works when I enable it for output but stops working the moment I get a call so Is not feasible.

Troubleshooting completed:

-Updated BIOS

-Reinitialized Sony XM5s

-Updated all drivers on the laptop

-Uninstalled and re-paired bluetooth headphones.

-Uninstalled Zoom

-Checked Teams for updates

-Updated the headphones (Update came AFTER the issue occurred but I updated anyway)

-Tried different browsers

-Ran Advanced Lenovo troubleshooters

-Ran windows troubleshooters

and more!

My Sony XM5's do not have this problem with any other device and my Lenovo Laptop (Windows 10 22H2) does this with ALL bluetooth headsets now, (I also tried my Bose QC45s and Samsung Galaxy buds Pro)

I'm currently using my Sonys (stereo, not AG Audio) for output and I have another 3.5mm jack headset plugged in for input but this is just so painful and shouldn't have to be this way, The headphones cost way too much to have to use ANOTHER headset in unison for it to work. It's frustrating because It's hard to say if it's a windows or Lenovo problem. Considering my Sonys work fine on every other device including my windows desktop computer I've ruled them out as being the problem.
