Connection Issues to one of my ISP/Modem

    Hi friends,

I bought a new laptop just around 10 days ago & for the past 3 days - I seem to be having issues connecting to my main ISP, which is connected through D-Link modem, especially when I boot my system.

It shows connected but not connected/no connection available. The id I have kept for this connection is - "admin".

At first, I assumed may be my internet was down but my windows 7 laptop is connecting to the same connection without any issues, simultaneously. The only way around the issue I have found so far is, to disconnect to "admin" & boot to my alternative ISP connection - connect to the internet for a bit & then change to my default "admin" one.

    Windows version - 20H2

I tried getting diagnostic log via the troubleshoot but its showing a broken image photo in IE, when I try to open it - have tried show the picture, reloading it - didn't help. So, I'm adding some screenshots & pasting the rest diagnostic results found.

    Code:
Any help will be appreciated, kindly let me know if any additional info is needed.

    :)

  2. Issues with Dial up connection using Vodafone USB modem, Windows 10

    Hi Jay,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand how difficult it could be. However, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

    1. Do you see network signals showing as connected in the taskbar?
    2. May I know the model of the Vodafone modem you are using?

    Please refer to
Mobile Broadband Software for Windows 10
for the list of modem models which support Windows 10. We would suggest you to download the software utility from the article and check if it resolves the issue.

We would also suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to check for the drivers for modem.

    1. Connect the USB modem.
    2. Open Device Manager by searching for it in search bar.
    3. Locate and expand Universal serial bus Controllers in the list.
    4. Check if the driver are displayed under the tree.

    Regards,

    What's a great affordable Combo Router/Modem ?

    1. They reconnect way too slow after a power shutdown.
    A. Buy a UPS

    2. The range is crap for a large house
    A. Get another router to get the connection around the propertie

    3. Random disconnects, speed issues....
A This could a router \ modem or even ISP issue. You need to find out who modems are compatable with your ISP, they should be able to supply you a list.

    how to connect ti ISP

Your ISP will provide you with complete instructions on how to connect to their service.

Typically, when you sign up for service, your ISP will provide you with a modem. Connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable. That's all you need.

However, most people have a router between their computer and their modem. (Your computer is connected to the router, and the router is connected to the modem.)
