  1. Connection Times Out Unless Start Menu is Opened

    I have a user who is having trouble accessing sites on Google Chrome. When they try to load a site there will be a message saying establishing secure connection and the connection will eventually time out. One strange thing I have noticed is that if the start menu is opened while the page is loading it will load just fine. This issue doesn't seem to happen in Edge and only happens in Chrome across multiple user accounts. I'm trying to narrow down whether or not this is a Windows issue, Chrome issue, or an issue with certain software on the computer.

    Thanks!

    :)

  4. Connection Times Out Unless Start Menu is Opened

    Start menu not working

    I found the following article, ran the suggested powershell command and my start menu is working again. Here it is as I found it:
    Go to Start menu button and right click on it. This will open the contextual menu, after which you need to select Command Prompt (Admin). Once Command Prompt is open, go ahead with the following steps.

    • Type and enter: Powershell
    • Type the following: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
