Windows 10: Connection to CCleaner website even after complete removal

After completely removing CCleaner and all leftovers that I'm aware of (a couple of months ago), there is still a connection being made every 10 minutes to ccleaner.tools.avcdn.net, I've checked everything.

Another person had the same exact issue and they describe a solution that I don't entirely understand. I tried messaging them, but without any response.

I've checked Scheduled Tasks, nothing there about CCleaner.

Could someone help me, based on the mentioned solution on where to actually go within Windows?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.


Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

ccleaner

Does anyone use ccleaner?? I know some people that use it and say its amazing! Any suggestions on a better small scale computer cleaner?

 

CCleaner Removed the Driver

So you have been using CCleaner and it removed your driver, is that correct?

What was the driver which has been removed?

Normally, you may visit the PC manufacturer's website and install the removed driver.
