Windows 10: Conputer close down. This app is preventing closedown.How do i rectify it please?

I have been having problems for many months with my computer not closing down correctly. As a result of it not closing down correctly it is opening up very slowly with no icons on the desktop. Eventually the icons appear and the computer will then work correctly but I have noticed recently when I enter "Settings" that there is an entry saying your device is missing important updates and quality fixes. They will not however download when I ask them to. I am fairly certain that my problems all stem from the computer not closing correctly and I think if I could remedy this that the other problems may resolve themselves.

I welcome any advice that anyone could give please. You may well have gathered from this mail that I am elderly and. not very computer literate.

Preventing access to modern app

Ive been tasked with preventing the children from accessing instagram. I've got it listed in my windows hosts file and internet options/security/restricted site but the windows 10 app is still allowing access. Any suggestions other then deleting app which can just be reinstalled?

I suggest you to press/hold the left click button on the title bar of the calculator and drag the Windows to shrink the size of the Windows and check if the close (X) option appears. If the issue still persists, then suggest you to run the Windows Store
Apps troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on View all on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.
