    Consant BSOD, safe mode, reset, not working


    Ever since I built this pc 3 months ago there has been some issue. I installed video card drivers from AMD like my video card, win 10 on an SSD, also have an hdd. PC worked fine - until it didnt. Games started freezing, crashing, until I discoverdd some workaround and lazily neglected to fix it. Almost certain that this is graphics driver corruption or driver corruption of some sort but at this point I cant fix it. Every time I turn on the pc it boots into BSOD, unexpected kernel. I tried booting safe mode, got BSOD, same message. Tried resetting pc, got bsod. Please, please help. I can provide more info if necessary


    Amd ryzen 3600

    Amd radeon rx 5700 rt

    Safe mode reset

    Hi Oliver,

    It's possible that your device is set to boot in Safe Mode. I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + R to open Run Dialog box.
    • Type msconfig and hit Enter.
    • Under General tab, choose Normal startup if it's not selected already.
    • Now, go to Boot tab, uncheck the Safe Boot
      option if it is checked.
    • Click OK to save the changes and restart the device to boot in Normal mode.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

    Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

    I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

    • Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
    • Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
    • What is the critical error you are getting?

    If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

    If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.


    • At the login screen click on the power symbol.

    • Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.

    • After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.

    • Select advanced options under
      Troubleshoot screen.

    • Click on Startup Settings.

    • Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
      Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.

    Safe mode problems

    Perhaps some of the safe mode files are corrupted.

    Disable auto restart on BSOD and see what error you get?
