Consequences of signing out of Office

I have Office 16 or Office 2019 installed on each of my PC's. Each purchased separately at different times. None of them direct from Microsoft.I want to remove one of the PC's and replace it with a new PC'When I go to my account on that old PC I get a notice that there are problems with my account and to sign out and then sign in againWhen I click on Sign Out I get a warning that "Removing this account will sign you out from this and other Office applications. It will remove all customizations" etc. etc..Does this mean all Office applications attached to all the PC's in my Microsoft accoun

    :)

  2. Office 365 on Continuum

The following steps worked for me (don't ask me how or why Consequences of signing out of Office :( ):

    • Click any office app on windows phone.
    • In the screen, it shows New, Browse & recent files. It also shows my name/account at the top-right.
    • Clicking on you name/account at top-right shows 2 accounts associated with this application.
      • Personal Account
      • Official Account
    • Clicking on any of these accounts, only gives an option to sign-out.
    • Since Microsoft Support technical team suggested that I reset my device. I did not want to reinstall all the apps, take backups & then reconfigure all of these again after the reset, unless it was the only option left.
    • With no better option, I clicked sign-out on both the accounts listed in step 4 above. I then signed in with my official account. I was able to create new Office documents now.
    • I logged-in to my other personal account also now. My office app still worked & allows me to access onedrive associated with both my personal & business accounts.

I was facing the same issues & even had multiple calls with Microsoft Support & waiting for a resolution.

Going through the above thread, I realized that multiple Microsoft accounts (personal & office) are associated with these apps. When I signed out of both these accounts from within the app & signed back in, I was able to edit using the office apps.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Need help with signing in to Microsoft Store, Office, and OneDrive

    Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble signing in to the Microsoft Store, Office, and OneDrive on my Windows device. Whenever I try to sign in, I receive two error messages: 0x8007000e (Unable to connect.) and 0x80860010 (This app has issued too many requests.

    Press Retry to continue.).

I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including:

    • Restarting my computer
    • Checking my network connection
    • Resetting my network settings
    • Running the sfc /scannow command
    • Running the DISM command
I have also tried everything possible to repair the Microsoft Store, including:

    • Running the Windows Store App troubleshooter
    • Running the Get-AppXPackage command
    • Running the wsreset.exe command
    • Resetting the Microsoft Store cache
But nothing seems to be working.

This problem is preventing me from synchronizing my files on OneDrive, using Office applications, and accessing the software I need from the Microsoft Store. It's causing significant inconvenience.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice on how to resolve this issue.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems and found a solution?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Can't sign in Office Apps?

If you go to your Office account using a browser can you log in.

You should see what machines are logged in.

Might I suggest you force the log off at this level and then go back to an Office app like Word and then sign in.
