Unable to source the issue via event viewer, I referred to the Minidump files the crashes were creating.Using WinDbg, I was able to find that vgk.sys is the driver causing the failure.   2. BSOD - Riot Games Vanguard Anti Cheat program

    It's been a few days since I've been getting the BSOD either a "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" or "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" with the error pointing to "vgk.sys" which after few Google searches I found out it was Riot Games Anti Cheat program - Vanguard. I have a gaming laptop ROG Strix G16 with a 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13980HX, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070, 16GB RAM, and a 64x bit OS. Before the first BSOD, I hadn't touched League of Legends ( the only Riot game I play ) for roughly 5 days and had no problems. The problems started appearing after I updated some of my drivers: GPU, network adapter, and Bluetooth driver, and also updated my Windows with a Cumulative Update Version 23H2 (KB5037853). I eventually tried to roll back those driver updates and the Windows update but to no avail and reinstalled the game and Vanguard but the BSOD persisted. After uninstalling the Vanguard program the BSOD stopped and everything was back to normal. I also performed the memory test, sfc/scannow, and chkdisk with one file being repaired. As of now I'm on the older drivers and have no idea what other driver or what issue could've caused it.

    Is Riot Vanguard causing my computer to restart?

    For the past couple of months, I have been getting PC restarts. Changing the settings to make the PC not restart only makes it completely freeze. Today I tried the minidump method, and I uploaded them to OneDrive.

    I also took a look at them myself using the WinDbg tool - two of the minidumps pointed towards Riot Vanguard. Am I correct here? Should I just uninstall Riot Vanguard and Valorant for a while and see if that was indeed the issue?

    Hi. I am using a Lenovo Ideapad l340, i7-9750H, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650, 16 GB ram. A year ago Lenovo replaced its faulty motherboard, but after that, I had BSOD issues which I initially thought was caused by outdated drivers but I guess wasn't because it still happens now even when I regularly check for driver updates. I recently upgraded my RAM but the BSODs were still happening so I suppose that wasn't the problem. The situation is, I'm getting a lot of BSODs when I have Riot Vanguard, an anti-cheat software by Riot Games, running in the background. When I turn it off, I thought I wouldn't get any more until just an hour ago when a BSOD occurred while I was downloading a game from the Epic Games Store. My Windows Version Number is 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1706). I have attached the logs gathered using your V2 log collector.
