Windows 10: Consistent Ping Spikes on 2.4ghz and 5ghz

Discus and support Consistent Ping Spikes on 2.4ghz and 5ghz in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; When pinging my router from either 2.4ghz wifi or 5ghz, ping spikes every 10 seconds from 1-5ms to ~2000ms.     Consistent Ping Spikes on 2.4ghz and 5ghz


    When pinging my router from either 2.4ghz wifi or 5ghz, ping spikes every 10 seconds from 1-5ms to ~2000ms. I am around 30 feet away from my router with 1 wall in between. I have a good router and wireless receiver, and nobody else in my house has this issue. I have tried every fix I have seen on the first page of google including reinstalling windows and have achieved no success, this is a last ditch effort before giving up.

    random ping spikes

    i get lots of random ping spikes. they dont happen all the time but maybe once evry 2 days and last hours. when i type ping (my ip) -t in cmd it says "request timed out" every time i spike. none of my other devices seem to experience this issue and i even
    got a new antenna and its still there. it might be my router but i dont think so. what should i do?

    High Ping Spikes every 3-5 seconds.

    The troubleshooters didn't solve anything. BUT, when running "netsh" and "ipconfig" commands under "Run the Network Troubleshooter..." and restarting, I found the ping spikes to
    lessen. It's not disappearing yet, but I found that there is less ping spikes than usual. I was able to play a quick casual game of CS:GO without any issues.

    I'll still investigate this. I still don't understand why only my computer is affected by this, yet my other devices do not.

    EDIT: I forgot the fact that my router has dual band and I never mentioned it even on Reddit. 2.4GHz seems more stable than 5GHz (because obviously my adapter is far from my router).

    Wifi ping spikes

    Hello,

    I am experiencing ping spikes on certain wifi connection.

    It has started in October, when I was at boarding house in Uni everything on wifi was smooth, but when I moved to homestay at connected to their wifi, I have started experiencing ping spike up to 2000ms every 30 seconds. So I couldn't play online games or
    even streaming movies.

    Than when I moved back to uni, ping got to it's normal state around 30-50ms.

    When I came back in 2 month, same problem was still appearing, and restarting wifi router didnt help, so I decided to reset a PC and it didnt help at all, but I now have to download 150gb of games again.

    I dont know what to do, I tried browsing, but I couldn't find anyone with same problem, please help.
