  1. Constant BDOC and TPM device not detected. My laptop is unusable.

    Hi all,

For the past few months, when starting up my laptop, it immediately loads into the bios setting giving me the alert that TPM device is not detected. I continued to use my laptop as normal as I just pressed continue and my laptop worked as normal. However, in the past couple of days my laptop has become unusable. I have been getting constant BDOC's out of nowhere to the point where I can neither log in to my laptop or even try to wipe the entire system. The stop codes each time on the blue screen is different each time:

This is one of many stop codes. The others I have got are: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP,

I use my laptop a lot to game, especially during lockdown I have been playing every day. I play GTA V, Call of Duty, Rocket League, FIFA 21 and other games.

However, I left my laptop off and unplugged for a few days and now, coming back onto it, it seems to be working normally but I really can't tell whether this problem will come back.

    Can anyone help?

    My laptop specs are here:

    Dell XPS 15 9560

    i5-7300HQ CPU

    8GB RAM

    GTX 1050

    512GB SSD

    1920x1080 display

Basic Windows 10 not pro or anything

  2. TPM update

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

  3. " TPM is not detected on your laptop" in Windows 10.

    Original Title: security

    Hi folks.

I have a 620 hp laptop with a TPM 2.0 , my HDD is divided in 3 parts, the bitlocker is working a D & E drives but when i try to

enable it on the C drive, a dialog box pops up saying " a TPM is not detected on your laptop".

is this possible ( i mean: can a bitlocker work on 2 partitions of the same HDD without TPM and not on the 3rd? if there's no TPM on my laptop )

    Please help.

    Best regards.

Constant BDOC and TPM device not detected. My laptop is unusable.

Need help on whether to clear TPM on not

It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.

    Here's a lengthy doc on it: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...initialize-and-configure-ownership-of-the-tpm
