    graphics card problems

    Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. Issues with new Graphics Card install

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to install the graphic card driver in compatibility mode from the manufacturer’s website and check if the issue persists or not.

      • Select Compatibility tab.
      • Place a check mark next to program in Compatibility mode and select previous the version of Windows from the drop down list.

Constant BSOD After Installing New Graphics Card

Multiple BSODs after installing new graphics card

    Hello,

I've upgraded from my GTX 1070 to a RTX 3070 in early March and I'm encountering various BSODs regulary a week ever since. The BSODs occur when watching YouTube videos, running GIMP 2.10.34 and sometimes even in Idle state where no program is active that consumes massive performance.

Directly after upgrading I made sure to update to the latest drivers via GeForce Experience.

Before the graphics upgrade everything was running perfectly fine.

I have tried multiple options to fix the issue without any success:

    • Revert to a previous Windows 10 version from before changing cards
    • After that fresh Windows 10 install on the same SSD
    • Installing new drivers for all programs
    • Revert to 1070 with drivers update
    • Reinstalling graphics drivers via DDU
    • Repair functions of Windows and the command prompt
I have also been running 1 complete test of the 4 cycles with MemTest86 without any errors.

    Some of the BSODs

    • BAD_POOL_CALLER
    • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    System:

    • CPU

      Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz
    • Motherboard

      Gigabyte Z590 LGA1200
    • RAM

      Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB DDR4 3200 MHz
    • GPU

      Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070
    • PSU

Corsair HX Series HX750 80+ Platinum
    • Operating System

      Windows 10 Pro 22H2
