Windows 10: Constant BSOD Errors After Clean Windows Installation

For the past week, my PC has been crashing and giving me BSOD Blue Screen of Death errors. To resolve this issue, I decided to clean install Windows on my SSD. I took the precaution of unplugging my HDD during the installation process. After the clean installation, everything seemed to be running smoothly.However,after I reconnected my HDD and restarted my PC, my computer keeps shutting down every minute or so, accompanied by a series of different error messages. Some of the errors I've encountered include "Critical_Process_Died," " ATTEMPTED WRITE TO READ-ONLY MEMORY,","PAGE-FAULT-IN-N

Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:

• Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
• When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
• Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
• When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
• This time enter your product key
• When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
• Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it

Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

Constant BSOD even on stock default

Yeah, I just formatted yesterday and I'm still getting the constant BSODs.

 

KernelBase.dll is broken constant BSOD's constant game crashing.

User Profile corruption is one of the possible reasons why you are experiencing constant BSOD's on your computer. You mentioned that you ran the
System File Checker (SFC) tool, but is still getting a stop code. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you create a new User Profile and check if the issue persists.

To create a user profile, follow these steps:

• Go to Settings. Click Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
• Select the Add someone else to this PC tab.
• Name the user as Test.
• Leave the password field blank.
• Hit Next.
• Sign in as Test user.
