    Constant disconnect of Wifi Internet on Windows10, Outlook 2013


    Over and over again Wifi disconnects. On Comcast/Xfinity. Just a constant problem. On HP desktop computer. relatively new. So why can't Microsoft fix this?

    In Outlook 2007 this behaviour is set by default but can be changed. Perhaps it is the same with Outlook 2013.

    • In Outlook 2007 this behaviour can be unset at Tools, Trust centre, Automatic download.
    • In Outlook 2016 this behaviour can be unset at Outlook options, Trust centre, Automatic download.
    • In Outlook 2013 I would expect the relevant setting to be in a similar location to one of these, probably close to that of Outlook 2016.

    Outlook 2016 disconnects my wifi

    When I launch Outlook 2016, my wifi modem router gets
    disconnected everytime. This results in all pcs in my home getting disconnected. I have to reboot the wifi modem each time then outlook connects but later will disconnect again & I have to repeat these steps. If I don't use outlook I never
    have this problem. Got any idea what's causing this?

    I'm using MS Surface Pro 4, Windows 10, MS Office 2016, MS Outlook 2016.

    I just need to click the network icon in notification area, select my WiFi network and click Connect / Disconnect:

    Selecting Connect automatically I don't have to enter the network security key manually:
