Constant DPC_WATCHDOG BSOD when using Zoom

Crashing when using Zoom. This appears to be a common issue. Minidump and Sysinfo files are here. There are only two from almost a month ago, although I have had several crashes since then. These are probably from around the time when I actually got the blue screen identifying it as a WATCHDOG error. Recent crashes have not had a blue screen, the screen freezes and then goes black and the laptop restarts. I often have several Chrome windows open, MS Word, Zoom, and using a bluetooth headset and the laptop built-in camera. I have an external monitor, HP s2216h. I have a Plugable USB 3.0 docking

    :)

  2. DPC_Watchdog BSOD troubleshooting

I experienced a change in operation -- short (3 second) freezes of my whole computer. Tracked down to Chrome --

If I reboot and then do not start Chrome -- everything runs fine.

Annoying but I will get to it eventually. Then I have had several DPC_Watchdog BSODs. I count these as serious.

I have followed basic troubleshooting steps and collected the minidumps, MSInfo and Speccy files

The latest .dmp came during driver verification -- not sure this is helpful

The ones dated 09/29 and 10/2 are both DPC_Watchdog

KernelBase.dll is broken constant BSOD's constant game crashing.

    Hi Darry,

User Profile corruption is one of the possible reasons why you are experiencing constant BSOD's on your computer. You mentioned that you ran the
System File Checker (SFC) tool, but is still getting a stop code. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you create a new User Profile and check if the issue persists.

To create a user profile, follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings. Click Accounts.
    • Select Family & other people.
    • Select the Add someone else to this PC tab.
    • Name the user as Test.
    • Leave the password field blank.
    • Hit Next.
    • Sign in as Test user.
