    Hi,For the past several months, I've been experiencing my PC randomly emitting this high-pitch, alert-like sound from my monitor's speakers even after I mute and disable all sound devices. It would only stop when I shut down my PC. At first, it would only happen once or twice a week. But now it occurs several times a day and I don't know what to do anymore.If anyone is wondering, I made sure that there were not any background programs running in Task Manager during these sporadic episodes. Since this has only started happening as of a few months ago, perhaps this is some sort of glitch caused

    I not sure what you mean, but the high-pitched ringing is not a sound designed for Windows. It's like there's a problem with the driver or whatever. It's constantly ringing whenever sound is not being played. Most of the time the ringing is barely audible, but it's still constantly there. It's tough to describe the sound, but it's in the 4000-6000 Hertz range like in this video but much softer and quieter . It keeps varying each time too. It'll be barely audible, then a notification goes off, then it changes and becomes very audible and stays like that until another sound is played then changes again. It's very bizarre

    How to mute the sound for System Alerts?

    Hello,

    I am facing a problem in windows 8.1 and as well as windows 10 on LUMIA 535. I think this is the issue facing by all the lumia users.

    My problem is "How to mute the sound for System Alerts?".

    I have tried by unchecking the Play a sound for system alerts in
    Settings under Ringtones+Sounds in windows 8.1 but the sounds for system alerts are not muted. The system alerts like displaying the Balance after ending the call, Sending the message, turn off the mobile data, or any other
    Balance enquiry by *121#,*125#,*123#,etc.,.

    Is there any remedy to mute those sounds? or Is this a bug for windows phones? or Any solution for this problem?

    Please let me know the working solution for this problem...

    In your system settings, go into system sounds and see which might be set and turn them off.
