    constant prompts to update win10


    I have Windows 10 Home version 1709 OS Build 16299.1087 on my desktop computer. Lately (i.e. for the last two+ weeks) I get a steady stream of notifications re: a pending update. According to my computer's update history these updates are for versions 1803 and they invariably fail to install which does not stop the notices. Any suggestions? Also, is it possible to turn off updates?

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
