Windows 10: Constant "USB device not recognized" popups - Windows 10

Hi, from a couple days i'm getting constant popup notifications for a USB device not being recognized, however it happens even when there's no USB device connected at all!
It's driving me crazy, i work with this computer and i can't bear this any longer.

What can i do? Tried manually disabling all the USB devices from the devices tool and rebooting, but to no avail.
I run on Windows 10 Home - 20H2.
Never had these problems before, and i didnt change any hardware it's a laptop, the Asus FX504GE.

Hope you'll be able to point me out in the right direction!

Some USB Devices not recognized in Windows 10

Hi have Windows 10 Pro insider preview 10532 64bit Pro Intel i7 desktop PC.

I have multiple USB devices connected, USB 3 & 2. The USB HDD is working however my Samsung phone and kindle are no longer being recognized. The steps followed so far:

• Uninstalled all USB devices in device manager including controllers
• Flashed BIOS to latest version
• Updated USB drivers for the devices from manufacturers sites
• Tried new USB cables

Please note: both devices are recognized by my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.

I really don't want to fresh install, please suggest any diagnostics I can try.

Win10 - Constant "USB device not recognized" popups

So I've just installed Win10. I'm getting constant USB Device not recognized messages popping up on the bottom right of the display.

Sometimes I can see the device in Device Manager, it's showing up there with the error icon on it, and it says that windows could not fetch the device descriptor. After a while the device will vanish from device manager, only to reappear later. I've tried
to disable the device but that has no effect.

The only USB devices I have plugged in are the keyboard and mouse. Even if you unplug those the messages will intermittently pop up in the bottom right of the monitor.

It's really getting annoying now.

I never had this problem in Windows 7, It's something new since installing Win10.

My motherboard is an asus px658d-e, i7 950.

In addition, we suggest that you turn off the notifications from the USB by following these steps:

• Open Settings by typing "settings" in Cortana's search box.
• Click on Devices.
• Locate USB and toggle the switch to Off.
