Windows 10: Constantly blinking hourglass mouse curser

    Constantly blinking hourglass mouse curser


    I had a blinking mouse hourglass curser for the last 2 days, and I had no idea how to fix it and online suggestions of restarting drivers was not working. After going through task manager and ending a fair bit of tasks VERY carefully not to mess up anything important I think I found the issue. I can't remember each task I ended, but the one I remember ending right before I noticed the blinking stopped, was something to do with McAfee web advisor. After this there was no more blinking, and McAfee seems to be running fine, and the web advisor seems to have no issue. I hope it actually was that

    At first startup after updating to Windows 10 screen is black with curser blinking in upper left corner. No response from mouse or keyboard. What is the solution?
