Windows 10: Constantly need to restart network adapter and getting occasional BSOD.

Hello. This is my first time posting in this community but I'm always finding answers within old threads. However, this time around I cannot seem to get a solution by researching. Lately over the last 2 weeks or so, I've been randomly losing connection to my home network on my PC. I open the troubleshooter and it always recommends restarting my network adapter. After clicking this option my connection is restored almost instantly. There seems to be no reason for why it eve loses connection. Sometimes it will happen every hour or it will happen every 15-20 minutes. Occasionally, I will get a

Method 1: Network troubleshooting

    • Click on “Network and Internet”
    • Click on “Network Adapter” and run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Download and install the latest firmware updates for the Network adapter

Follow these steps to un-install the drivers:

• On the search bar type “ Device Manager”
• On the left pane locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
• Right on the “ Network driver” option and click “Uninstall’
• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

GRAH! Ethernet adapter NOT working!

thanks for the replies guys.

i tried most of whats been suggested already. restarted router, installed the latest drivers from nvidia for the nforce chipset + ethernet, and the adapter isn't disabled (its getting a wacked out ip address compared to the rest of the systems on the network, and occasionally, i can ping.)

  Run the Network Troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

  You may try a different network adapter/connection type if possible.

  Further you may also check for Windows Updates and check for updated drivers for the network adapter.
  

You will be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues with Windows Update.

Open the Network troubleshooter by following these steps:

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View All.
  

Click on “Network Adapter” troubleshooter to fix problems with
Network Adapter. Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

Further, you may reset the winsock settings and check if this helps:

Run CMD as administrator.

In the command line type: “netsh winsock reset”.

Press Enter then restart your PC to check if this helps.
