  1. Constantly needing to restart explorer.exe

I was just wondering why this happened but I don't need answers it would just be good to know why it happened.

So I just restarted my pcrunning Windows 10 and the problem went away or maybe it will come back after a bit idk but the problem was that I couldn't do anything on the desktopopening programs, drawing with the select thing cuz its cool, etc and same with the toolbar. The logical thing for me to do is control+alt+delete and open task manager to restart explorer cuz brainz and that fixed the toolbar problem... for like a minute or so and then it came back so I did it again and the same thing happened. And this is where I am now, wondering why it happened. One reason could probably be that when I was loading a save in a game uhh... the screen of my laptop went black, the game crashed and the picture that was on the laptops screen came to my second monitorwithout resizing so it looked very distorted but after that, I restarted my pc so it shouldn't have mattered.

    :)

  2. Constant need to restart Windows Explorer to keep taskbar popping up in front of other windows . . .

    • When did you start having this problem?
This is an ongoing issue - the community has collected many posts on the subject (with the usual 'cure' of retarting Windows Explorer)

    • Did you make any changes on the computer prior to this issue?
    None I can recall

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    None

In the past I found it nessasary to restart Windows Explorer maybe one a month - but more recently, the need has moved to, as much as, several times per day - thus prompting this Community post.

We will be waiting for *your* response.

  3. Internet Explorer won't start

Since it's not allowing you to open the settings of the Internet Explorer itself, we suggest that you type inetcpl.cpl on
the search box to open the Internet Properties and follow the steps provided on the link that we have on our previous post.

Note: In doing this you can now skip step 1 under Reset Internet Explorer settings.

If the issue persists, we recommend that you uninstall and reinstall the Internet Explorer.
To do this, follow the steps below:

To uninstall the Internet Explorer, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button, type
Programs and Features in the search box, and then select
      View installed updates.

    • Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the
      Microsoft Windows section.

    • Right-click Internet Explorer 11, click Uninstall and then click
      Yes.

    • Click one of the following:
    • Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 11 and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer)

    • Restart later

To download and reinstall Internet Explorer, follow the steps below:

    • Check the System Type that you need to install by pressing
      Windows key + Pause key.
    • Check the System type under System (Ex: 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor).

    • Download Internet Explorer 11 (Offline Installer) on this
      link.

    • Choose your preferred language and Service Pack (Ex: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit).

    • Follow the on-screen prompt.

    • Once done, check if the issues persists.

Note: The installer that you can download on this link also applies in Windows 10.

We'll wait for your update with the result.
