    Constantly restarts watching videos, no BSOD, no dump files


    I'm scratching my head over this, please help.I have a desktop computer. Over the course of this year it's randomly restarted a couple of times, but never enough to cause much worry. In the last month or so it's been crashing more and more often, at least once a day, and always when I'm watching a video. I just started a new video game this week and I can't play more than an hour without my computer crashing.I have WhoCrashed, but my PC isn't making dump files no blue screen, just a sudden freeze, and a second later the system is booting back up. I've checked my Event Viewer, but I'm not sur

    BSOD but system doesn't restart after dump


    The difference between a kernel dump and a small dump
    This option is standard checked with memory.dmp files, thats why they'll be overwritten.

    Hi Groggubus,

    Welcome to the 10forums Constantly restarts watching videos, no BSOD, no dump files :)

    Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
    These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

    Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
    Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

    Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT

    Memory dump file?

    My uncle keeps getting BSODs from his video card, and the screen will be all garbled and corrupted so he can't read what it says. He's trying to access the memory dump file do he can read it, anyone know how?
