    Conteban Trojan

Hi, I recently have been getting a warning of conteban trojan from windows security. It says the threat is severe. So I click remove. Everything seems ok then I edit a word doc which is kept on an external portable drive and try to attach it to an email and I get the warning again that the document is infected with the trojan. So i remove again. I did a full scan and download malware bytes to do a scan and it shows nothing? is it possible for portable drives to have a Trojan? If so why does windows defender say there is no threat until i make a word document and attach to email? i don’t understand what is going on with this. If I have windows defender and malware bytes both saying there is nothing so what is the issue with word docs?

    :)

Windows Defender is not getting rid of the Trojans. Does anyone have suggestions?

    Thank you

    Conteban Trojan

New Trojan that Demands a Ransom

There is a new virus out there discovered by virus hunters known as "Cryzip". The Trojan encrypts your files and then demands a $300 ransom for the decryption password to get your files back. After encrypting the files, the virus leaves a nice step-by-step guide of how to go about paying the ransom off. It's supposedly spread through email Spam, and has successfully evaded anti-virus scanners.
