Windows 10: continually being told my password is incorrect despite changing it.

My password login was disabled. Suddenly yesterday I was asked to provide a password to login to my pc. I created a new password but am being told every time I try to login that my password is incorrect. I have tried disabling it again with no success. What is going on here.

When I attempt to login to Win 10 I am unable to log in on my desktop computer. It gives me the message, "incorrect password." I am having no problem logging in with my laptop. The password is acceptable. I have tried resetting the password through the desktop but it requires a password disk which I don't have. I changed the password on the laptop however the laptop continues to work and the desktop gives me the "incorrect password" error.

 

Password rejected despite correct password

Hi all,

I cant sign onto my tablet with windows 10 as it keeps telling me the password is incorrect and to reset it, however despite resetting multiple times now i get the same response. The laptop is connected to the internet.

Ive tried multiple fixes but none of them seem to work.

I cant access any settings that require my password, as windows tells me its incorrect (even though I know its correct as I use it to sign in everywhere else).

Desparate for a fix that doesnt reset it, as half my college work is on this laptop

Edit #1: Attempted to change my password using the laptop, which was successful, however after trying to sign in using this new password I was told it was incorrect

Edit #2: Ive found the password that can access the troubleshooting, but it wont work for my account

Are you logging in with a Microsoft Account on both systems?
