A few years ago someone posted the question of custom color filters with no external programs https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/custom-color-filters/080326b4-46b2-4f71-b88b-8b23939c3330. @vijay A. What would be a third party app that could create custom color filters or something of similar sort.Original Question: "I have been using the Windows 10 native "Invert" color filter at work so that I can read white text against a black background. Custom color filters

I have been using the Windows 10 native "Invert" color filter at work so that I can read white text against a black background. The unfortunately consequence of this is that all the colors are inverted as well. (eg blue becomes orange, green becomes purple,
    etc)

I am wondering if there is a way to create my own custom color filter transformation matrix so that I can preserve colors. If not then it's also acceptable for an equivalent method that basically only inverts the brightness but preserves the colors. (eg
dark blue becomes light blue, dark green becomes light green, etc)

I am aware of third party apps that can do this. I am not allowed to use those at work so it has to be something native to windows 10.

Colors looking grey in Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that the colors look grey on your computer. I would suggest you to check the color filters in Settings and see if that helps. Kindly, refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + U, to open
      Ease of Access Settings
      .
    2. Now, select Color filters from the left pane.
    3. Under Use color filters, toggle the switch to
off for Turn on color filters.
    4. Clear the check box for Allow the shortcut key to toggle filter on or off.

Let us know how it goes.

    How to customize UI colors?

    Hello Mikhail,

The High contrast mode feature has been available long before the release of Windows 10. When the feature is enabled, it will revert your theme back to the Windows Classic theme with the colors altered depending on the configuration
you selected. It is mainly designed to aid individuals that need more color contrast to read text on the screen. This also features the creation of custom colored theme's that have always been included in the previous version of Windows.

Apparently, there's no option to modify the borders and separators. The taskbar color is tied to the
Background color selected. Once you've modified the color of any of the four default high contrast theme and then click
Apply, you will be asked to name your custom theme. For more information, you can check these articles:

The configurations available under Settings > Personalization >
Colors are limited to the accent color of the Start menu, taskbar, title bars, and Action Center. You can also choose between a
Dark and Light mode from the same page. See this

    page
for more details on how to modify colors in Windows 10.

If you're experiencing issues with the default display configuration of Windows, you can try Night light and color filters. The Night light feature will show warmer colors that are easier on your eyes and the color filters can help you distinguish display
    elements better.

If you think that the display customizations are limited, you're welcomed to submit a feedback to our engineers using the
Feedback Hub. You can either vote on an existing submission or submit a new issue. When you submit a feedback item we gather additional details and information about your issue that will help determine what’s causing it and address it. Feedback
