  1. Continued Crashing, Memory Management signal - forced shutdown

Hello Microsoft Community, My computer continues to restart unexpectedly. The signs have been around "memory management," I cannot remember all of the signals I have received by when doing the msched Windows Command check it shows that I don't have any problems. Has been happening since recent update. Tried to uninstall the update but it has come back I guess. Thanks for any help! Monica

    :)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Work around

I have not used this device in many years and don't need it. My work around:

    • win key +x
    • click device manager
    • expand modems
    • Highlight the Conexant device then right click
    • Click Disable
    • Close device manager
    • Check if shutown/hibernate /sleep/restart crashes
    • easiest way: use shutdown and it should not reboot
    • if it continues to crash and reboot, do a c:/windows/mindump/(select latest file) analysis using OSR Homepage - OSR (run browser in admin mode or dump file is not accessible)

Continued Crashing, Memory Management signal - forced shutdown

    Memory Management Crash

Generally speaking, which is also this time the case, the 0x1A crash doesn't show a specific cause.
    Causes are
    • drivers
    • memory
    • vram
    • hard drive
The dump doesn't point directly to anything, but based on the causes I've mentioned and a few things in the dump there is a chance the drives are involved in it.
