    Hello, I have a problem with my AMD Radeon R7 Graphics driver version 22.19.180.513. Indeed, once the update is done and after restarting the pc, the screen remains black from the login screen and I no longer have an image, even after logging in. So I'm forced to enter safe mode to remove the driver update, to revert to version 21.19.414.256

  2. Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M265 graphics adapter driver

    You may have seen my previous posts on this issue: it began for me with the 1709 release of Windows 10. Getting BSOD crashes because of 'Thread Stuck In Device Driver' with the driver for the Radeon R7 M265 adapter.

    I have kept the adapter disabled to allow Windows update to accumulate and hopefully resolve the problem. I am now at Windows 10 1709 334.

    I installed AMD's latest driver from their support web site yesterday (dated 22 March 2018 version 23.30.15033.5003) and this ran OK. Note that I had deinstalled and deleted all previous AMD drivers before performing that installation.

    However, this morning's Window Update overwrote that driver with the same one that has been the source of the BSOD crashes in the past (dated 22 June 2015 version 15.200.1045.0). Consequently, I had a BSOD crash again. I've had to disable the AMD adapter
    again.

    If I perform an 'Update Driver' in Device Manager that old driver is the one picked up if I use the 'Search Automatically...' option: it prefers that to the new AMD one when I have had that running.

    That is puzzling as is also Windows Update preference. The latest driver I see listed in Windows Catalog for the Radeon R7 M265 is dated 24 April 2017 version 22.19.162.4. (I have to assume that is superior to the June 2015 one.) Why isn't Windows Update
    providing at least that April 2017 driver?

    I have downloaded Microsoft's tool for selecting a driver to leave alone during update but it does not list the Radeon driver so I can't freeze it. Obviously, I do not want to go so far as to freeze all driver or other updates.

    Is anyone else still experiencing such an issue? Is anyone aware of a fix?

  3. AMD Radeon R7 graphics inbuilt on AMD A10-7850K Series APU

    Not sure if this is a Windows problem or an AMD problem or a problem with my system. I'm asking the same question over at the AMD Community

    I have a newly installed AMD A88XM-A motherboard with an AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7 processor. The latest AMD catalyst drivers (15.20.1062.1004-150803a1-187668C) were all installed over the last few days along with a new install of Windows 7 plus all available
    updates.

    The Windows 10 update checker on my PC says that I cannot upgrade to Windows 10 because the AMD Radeon R7 graphics chip is not compatible. It says the display manufacturer has not made the display compatible. I cannot reserve my Windows 10 upgrade.

    However, the list at Sign In to AMD Community - AMD Community lists the A10-7000 Series APUs as systems that are compatible with Windows 10.

    So, to repeat my question: is this a problem with the Windows upgrade checker, with AMDs list of compatible hardware, or with something on my system?

    AMD Radeon R7 Issues

    I purchased a Dell Inspiron 7548 about a year ago. I have no idea if my graphics card has yet to work, and I am very frustrated. I've spent many many hours looking for a solution and am yet to find one. All help is greatly appreciated.

    In device manager, I have updated and rolled back and disabled and enabled my GPU driver many times over. When doing this, sometimes it says I have an AMD Radeon R7 m270, other times an AMD Radeon R7 m265. Apparently you can download and delete hardware... When device manager says I have the 270 version and try to open AMD Settings I get the following error message.

    "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware."

    When device manager says I have the 265 version I am able to open AMD Settings, however under the display tab I am told I have no amd products connect to any displays, and in the system information tab it says the gpu is disabled.

    Some information on my system.

    Windows 10

    Intel Core i7-5500U @ 2.40 GHz

    1TB Hard Drive

    8GB Ram

    Screen resolution is 4k.

    More reason to believe my R7 is doing nothing, when running games like counter strike, I set my screen resolution to 720p, run on absolute minimum settings, struggling to stay about 40 fps.
