    DVD drive missing from 'THIS PC'

    Yes, I have tried uninstalling both the DVD/CD-ROM drives and the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers from device manager and rebooting. Not sure which controllers you are suggesting are missing. Also cleaned the laser.

    Contol paste: After the windows update, I no longer am able to cut and paste from word to my emails. This is such an important part of my job. I am at a total loss of what to do. Someone recommended using the format painter on what I wanted to cut and paste, but that did nothing....
