Windows 10: Control panel, administrator, command prompt, bitlocker input reset code all not working...

New HP computer. I have run the trendmicro virus scan on the whole disk. The problems are the Control Panel is not responding to click from the Start. It shows the option to Run, but that does not respond. Same with Command Prompt. When I try to boot to Safe Mode, it will not allow me to type letters at the place required for Bitlocker key. WIndows Administrative Tools app from Start just shows Open option and does not respond. Recently I downloaded the program Origin and am trying to uninstall it. OneDive pops up with an error that 'the application OneDrive failed to start because no qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.' And holding Shift down while re-starting does not work to get into Safe Mode.

Would I just follow the same steps within safe mode after hooking up to the other system?

 

Bitlocker menu in Control Panel is gone!!!!!

From the above screenshot I see that you are not able to access or see the Bitlocker Drive Encryption in Control Panel, i suggest you to change the view of the Control panel and then check if you are able to access or view it.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Control Panel in the Search bar and then Enter.
• Select the View by options in the upper right pane.
• In Category select the small icons and then check if you can view the Bitlocker Drive Encryption option.
