control panel extension is incompatible with driver version - windows 10

I upgraded to windows 10 and suddenly my touch pad malfunctioning, no right clicks, double click open scrolling .. etc. Anyhow, when I go to mouse setting to figure it out it's show me this message "control panel extension is incompatible with driver version"
and close the apps.

Any solutions you have ?

Does this solution of replacing with OEM drivers continue to work? In my case (HP Pavillion X360 tablet/laptop), I replaced the Synaptics touchpad drivers with the OEM version and it worked for a while but after latest hibernate and resume, I get the same
problem as described above "Control Panel extension is incompatible with driver version" and I wonder if Windows at some point of time decides to revert/upgrade to its version of the drivers and thus get the whole thing in a mess once again.

 

When i go into mouse settings in control panel it says control panel extension is incompatible with driver version

I was going into control panel to fix something in mouse settings and then it gave me this message: control panel extension is incompatible with driver version. It then lets me into the interface for 2 seconds, then it gives me a pop up ant it says (Something, Something, Something)
Has stopped working. When i click OK it kicks me out of the interface and the pop up and im back at the control panel.
