Windows 10: Control Panel|Programs|Programs and Features -- no Repair Option

At the top of the list, is says, "click uninistall, change, or repair". But, there is no "repair". Only uninstall and change. I don't see it either on right click menu.


Help, how can this be? 1 Billion people must see this menu. How can it have this error in it?


What do it do to repair???


In another thread regarding my Office 365 subscription it was suggest that i "repair' using this specific window. But, how do i repair??

Windows 10 programs not listed in control panel

Your Windows Control Panel has no Programs and Features ? Or is there a Programs and Features, but Steam, etc. are not listed ?

Or are you calling the Start Menu > All Apps section the Control Panel ?

This is traditionally where all programs get uninstalled or repaired from,when an option is available. Many programs can still get uninstalled or repaired using a tool in the programs install folder.

- The main Control Panel window is only shortcuts to open those programs or Windows tools.

- With Win10 they are in the process of slowly migrating all Control Panel functions to Settings.

Installed programs are listed in... Settings > Apps > App and Features,

and this is where most people go when dealing with their software. I still prefer the more compact layout of Programs and Features though.

Programs require proper uninstallation process as well as the having a successful installation itself. If the program cannot be removed properly or in normal means, it will have left-overs on your computer’s
Registry and you will still see its files. To isolate your concern with this program, we’d like to know the following:

• What is this program?
• How did you install this program in the first place?
• Is there a feature on this program that will require repairing if it is no longer work properly?
• Do you have other formal ways to change/repair this program?

Hi Barbara, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

At the top, click 'Change'

On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .
