Windows 10: Control+shift+arrow select stops working

Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 OS build 26100.2033 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.23.0 Somewhat randomly, my Control+Shift+Left or Right Arrow select stops working. I'm a developer, and I use the keyboard to select multiple words at a time all day. It's beyond frustrating. I booted my PC this morning and is was fine, now after about 20 minutes it's no longer working.Is there some keyboard setting that toggle this on or off or overrides it?

Shift + Arrow Keys to select functionality stopped working

Hello, I've recently lost the ability to select text or cells by holding shift key and using arrow keys to highlight/select.

I've checked scroll lock, sticky keys and restarted a number of times. My shift and arrow keys work fine independently. Control + Arrow keys are working

fine.

Searched for a similar fix and have not come across anything that has worked... any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is a functionality I use every 5 seconds it seems (now that I am noticing its absence)!

down arrow key stopped working

My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?

 

Shift select not working

When I click on some text, hold down either shift key, and press an arrow button, nothing happens. Normally I could select text like this. This is happening (rather, what is expected is not happening) in LibreOffice, in Notepad, and in URL bars
of browsers.

If I click on one spot, then hold down shift and then click on another spot, it does select what is between (hence it works to select multiple files in Windows Explorer), but I can no longer hit shift+arrow to adjust my selection by one character.

I'm not sure if this started with Windows 10, but I had Windows 10 for hours or days when I first noticed this.
