Windows 10: Control what sound is "sent" where

Hi everyone. I work as a "technician" at my local radio station, and I've been asked to come up with a solution to a problem we've encountered.


We would like to stream some of our programs through Facebook in order to reach more people, but we're only allowed to stream our voices, not the music we're playing in between each radio session the music is only allowed to be sent through actual radios, not Internet-based services.


Our computer has a program running on it, which outputs whatever sound it receives from a mixboard through the radio, but to get this Facebook thing working, we have to "block" certain sound signals, specifically those coming from the music source.


My question is how I can control what sound is outputted where, such that music + voice is outputted through radio, while *only* voice is streamed over Facebook.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

The issue with volume control could have happened due to the corrupted or outdated driver. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the 2 methods below:

Method 1: Run the Audio Troubleshooter on the system.



Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. We would suggest you run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio



Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key+X, select Control panel.
• Change the view as an option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2. Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
• Right-click on the Sound card and click on Uninstall.
• Install the latest audio driver from the manufacturer website.

As per the description I understand that you are unable to hear the email notification sound.

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

  Go to Control Panel Items

  Click on Sound.

  Click on Sounds Tab.
  
• 
  Click on Desktop Mail Notification.
  
• 
  Click TEST.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

And check if you are able to hear the email notification sound.
