Windows 10: Controller layout switches when launch in Forza Horizon 4

so i have been playing on forza for the past 4 months, but now i keep on getting a bug where when i launch the game, the video setting change back from low to high, and my custom controller layout also switches to layout 16, and not custom controller profile 3. i have uninstalled and reinstalled forza but it still happens. please help

Have you tried lowering your screen resolution to see if the game launches?

How much free space do you have on the drive?

Could you confirm if this also happens in the default Administrator account?

Open Start

Type: cmd

Right click CMD

Click Run as administrator

At the command prompt, type:

net user administrator/active:yes

Hit Enter

Close command prompt, restart, then try signing into the Administrator account.

Do you have the latest cumulative updates for Windows 10 1803 installed?

Open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features

Scroll down to Forza Horizon 4

Select it

Click Advanced options

Click Reset

Restart

Check the Store for updates

If that does not work...

download the following utility and use it to remove Forza Horizon 4, extract it, launch it, scroll through the list, select Forza 4 then click Remove.

Forza Horizon 4 keeps switching between controller and keyboard inputs

So I’m playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC with PC Game Pass and I like to play most PC games including this one with an Xbox One controller. But for this game only, it keeps switching inputs between my controller and my keyboard, which makes the game unplayable.
Sometimes it does it a lot, other times only every once in a while. Does anyone know a fix? I’ve looked on the internet and people seem to be having the same problem as me, be it with different controllers. I’ve tried recommended fixes but none have solved
the problem. My PC is pretty good, and I only have this problem with Forza Horizon 4.
